Food security is a critical issue for the Yukon, and one of the driving forces for the vision of Hinterland Flour Mill. Reducing the carbon footprint by minimizing transport costs, eliminating waste by incorporating by-products of the milling process into livestock feed formulas, and producing large volumes of wholesome food using a relatively small land base; are some of the practices we use to move us closer to a goal of food society for the Territory.

Seed to harvest; harvest to mill; mill to packing; and finally, distribution of minimally processed, great tasting food, which is genuinely good for the body, back into the community where it was grown.
